Howdy Yall!!!

It is the first of December and I am SO excited! : ) This is my favorite time of the year so you will never know how happy I am!  Let’s see…where do I begin. I started oral antibiotics a week ago, and of course I am feeling better!! Which is a huge blessing!! I’m so glad I can wake up and have energy, and be able to do fun things again!! Last week Nicholas and Elizabeth came home on Wednesday, November 26th for Thanksgiving break! And Nick’s birthday was on Wednesday as well, I cannot believe he is 19 years old. It is crazy how fast time goes by. We celebrated by going out to eat, going to game stop and then coming home to play guitar hero and just relax! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving on Thursday and ate TONS of food! On Thursday it was mom, dad, Nick and me…it was nice having the four of us together again! We ate delicious food which my amazing mommy prepared! Turkey, ham, stuffing, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, biscuits….yum yum yum! 

On Saturday I woke up smiling…why?? because it was COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAY!!! : ) yay! But it was also a sad day…because it was the last game of the regular season for my Florida Gators. We were ready to play the Florida State Seminoles. We met Uncle Scott, Aunt Angie, and my cousin Hunter at a sports bar called Champps. Just imagine…my uncle scott AND me watching football in a restaurant. If you truly know me and him then you know we have a rep for being…well…rather loud. Uncle Scott was there to cheer for the seminoles. He brought me a bunch of Gator stuff from Pro-Image..and once again THANK YOU Uncle Scott and Aunt Angie! He bought seminole gear for himself. The game was awesome…especially since we BEAT the seminoles 45-15…and I didn’t let Uncle Scott forget it! It was an amazing day and I’m so glad we did it! It is our new tradition now! Yay!

Yesterday I set up all of our christmas decorations so that was exciting!!!! We will be getting our tree tomorrow night! WOOOOO!

Hope everyone is doing well. It is 12:55 on Tuesday and I just woke up about an hour ago. I got off antibiotics on Friday and the outcome is the same as usual. I feel cruddy, cough is back full speed, fevers, and no energy whatsoever. You think I would be used to this by now, but in a way I’m not. I’m ready to accept the fact that I might never truly feel “good”. If this is the way my life is supposed to be then I’m going to live it and try to make the best of it. That is easy to say but hard when I get back to reality. My sick days consist of waking up around 10 or 11 and then going back to sleep around 1 until about 6. Then I stay up for a while, then around 11 go back to sleep. I’m not going to sit here and complain because I don’t have it in me. All I ask is for no sympathy, but tons of prayers. I’m not exactly sure what God has in store for me, but I’m taking one day at a time. I often wonder what it would be like to live a normal teenage life. To have energy, to be able to do things with friends whenever they ask. I don’t really feel sad about this, because when I am sick….seeing anyone is the last thing on my mind. Aside from being sick physically I will admit that I am mentally sick as well. Depression has set in, and I’m trying my best to kick it’s butt, but so far it is just kicking mine. I haven’t lost all hope yet, and I’m praying for something or anything to happen. 

But although I may be in a slump…I always remember this verse in the bible. 

Psalm 30:2 Oh Lord, My God, I called to you for help and you healed me.

I will say that it is very hard to remember that when I’m feeling down in the dumps and sick. Through it all I always know that anything is possible, and I have God on my side!

Hello Everyone..

I know I am kind of a slacker when it comes to updating my blog, but I am going to try to get better at this. Well I came home from the hospital a week ago today. It’s nice to be home with my mom and dad, and cats……although I am still not feeling too good. I am going to UNC on Friday to see my Psychiatrist. I’m not sure if I will see my pulmonary doctor or not, but we shall see.

Just keep me in your prayers please!

Hi to all! This past weekend was surely a good one! Let me start off with of course, Saturday!! COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAY! and personally my favorite day of the week because of that reason! My daddy was here at the hospital with me so we always just sit around, relax, and watch tons of football! My Gators played the Kentucky Wildcats at the Swamp for our homecoming! =] The final score ended up being 63-5. That now gives us our 6th W and only 1 L. 6-1 GO GATORS! Very proud! I SAY IT’S GREAT TO BE A FLORIDA GATOR!

On Saturday night mommy came over to spend the night as well! So I had a big ol party with my mom and dad! Crazy fun! lol. On Sunday morning my brother, Nicholas, and his girlfriend of two years, Elizabeth came to visit me before they headed back to college in Greensboro! It was a nice visit, although both nick and I were somewhat grumpy! Oops! The rest of the day consisted of resting, NFL football, and movies! What’s better than that!!

Hello to everyone! =] This is pretty exciting for me to have my own personal blog now! I just recentley decided that I wanted to start one of these cool things!. My dear friends Nick and Robin Griffin both have a blog of their own, and I thought the idea of it was awesome!  I also thought it would be a good way to inform my family and friends of my health! I know everyone is so busy these days with work, family, school and so it makes it hard to stay in contact with everyone! Except for my Cystic Fibrosis letter I write and send out each year (if you are not on our list please do leave me your address so we can send you one)

Where do I start…..Goodness it sure has been a rocky rollercoaster ride lately. On October 7th I went over to UNC for an appointment with my doctor. My PFT’s (Pulmonary Function Test) were down to 49, which is the lowest I have been since 2004. My doctors were not only shocked but also worried because I also lost a few pounds, and my oxygen was running at 93. After all of that they decided it would be best for me to go into the hospital and be put on IV’s…the only problem with that was that it would ruin our plans to go to the Gator Vs. LSU game. And if anyone knows me good enough..you would know NOTHING would get in the way of me seeing my Gators play some football! So I told them I would have to delay my stay at the hospital. We went to Florida that Friday and went to the gator game on Saturday (and we beat LSU 51-21) GO GATORS! It was such an amazing day and game! We traveled home on Tuesday…and on Friday I traveled to UNC to get a Bronch done. (a Bronch is when they put me to sleep go down my nose and look into my lungs to see whats going on down there. Turns out when they got RIGHT passed my vocal chords it was filled with Mucus. (not good) I have now been in the hospital for a week and feeling some what better. I’m on 3 different IV antibiotics, and one oral antibiotic.
I did PFT’s yesterday and I blew a 59…ten points better! So that’s encouraging!
OH and some of the UNC tarheel football players came by today, and you better believe I gave them HECK! : ) it was a blast!!!
Anyways…I’ve written enough, and it is time for bed : ) I will write soon!
